Rules for Hacker Bans - UPDATED

We now have a lot of tools in place to try and stop hackers from being able to play on our server, however no matter how much we install we can never be completly hack proof. All Admin must remain vigilant and take accusations of hacking seriously. You MUST NOT rely on the tools installed to spot every hacker.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO CHECK FOR A HACKER BEFORE BANNING ONE...

1 ) If people are complaining about the hacker, use Admin talk to reassure them you are checking for hacks.

2 ) Use the Aimbot Detection tool by going into console and typing "amx_aimwatch <playername> 1"

3 ) Go into console and type "status". Make a copy of the player name and Steam ID number (eg: save it on notepad)

4 ) Go into spectator mode and look for the actions explained in the post "How to spot HaCkErZ".

5 ) Make sure the Advanced Admin Spectator mode is on to help you decide.

6 ) Wait for the Aimbot Detection tool to complete it's 3 checks.

7 ) Check to see if another Admin is available for a second oppinion.


WHEN YOU ARE SURE, FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO BAN A HACKER...

1 ) Always check to see if another Admin is available for a second oppinion.

2 ) Go into console and type "status". Make a copy of the player name and Steam ID number (eg: save it on notepad)

3 ) Make a statement using Admin talk to let the server know the player is hacking.

4 ) Use the amxmodmenu, press 2 for the banmenu and use 8 to select "PERM BAN".

5 ) Make a statement to the server telling them you banned the player.

The players steam ID will then be banned from all TTD Servers.
